4. How do I check the balance on my gift card?

5. If I donate a gift card, how much money will the nonprofit end up with?
After our partner Plastic Jungle receives the gift card and verifies its balance, the nonprofit will receive up to 85% of its value (varies by merchant). Payments are sent within 30 days after the end of a calendar month’s activity and will be accrued until a $100 threshold is met.
6. Is my gift card donation tax deductible?
Once the nonprofit organization receives compensation for your gift card donation, you will receive a thank you letter acknowledging your gift for tax purposes. Generally, gift card donations are tax-deductible for the verified balance of the card. However, please consult with your accountant for your specific situation.
