Carol Schrader, CEO
Carol brings over 20 years experience as an entrepreneur and marketing executive in the software industry to her role at givezooks! Carol has worked for Silicon Valley companies Valisys, Sherpa, Documentum (now EMC) and Agile Software (now Oracle). As VP of Marketing at Agile, Carol was responsible for all aspects of marketing in the US and Internationally. Carol was a significant contributor to a successful IPO and secondary offering in 1999. Since Agile, Carol was principal and co-founder of Killarney Group, a consulting firm specializing in marketing and business strategy consulting to emerging companies.
Carol also has been involved with multiple nonprofit organizations serving on the board at MentorNet, an organization aimed at mentoring girls in science and math. Carol is also an active fundraiser for Special Olympics, Alzheimer’s Association, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and other education-oriented charitable organizations.
Joe Fazio, VP of Product Strategy
Joe is a 15 year veteran of the software industry. Prior to givezooks!, Joe was a founder and product visionary at Agile Software. Joe brought his engineering background and entrepreneurial experience to the product vision and strategy that drove Agile’s success in customer acquisition and revenue growth, as well as the successful IPO and secondary offerings. Joe is a graduate of UCLA in Electrical Engineering, and prior to Agile worked for Micropolis, Rockwell, HP and other high tech companies.
Joe’s involvement with nonprofits spans education, health and social benefit organizations. Joe is co-president of the board for Marymount Academy in Santa Barbara, and serves as fundraiser and volunteer for other nonprofits such as PAL, Bishop Garcia Diego High School, and American Cancer Society.
Eric Schrader, Advisor
Eric brings over 15 years software and management experience to his role. As VP of Professional Services at Agile, Eric was responsible for managing implementation success for Agile's customers. Eric’s leadership played a significant role in making customer success and satisfaction the key differentiator for Agile in the PLM market. Eric is a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of Illinois, and has also worked for McDonnell Douglas (Boeing), SDRC and Sun Microsystems.
Eric was also co-founder and principal at Killarney Group where he participated in due diligence activities for high tech M&A, strategy and consulting for service-based organizations, and marketing strategy consulting assignments.
Eric is personally connected with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and multiple organizations dealing with Autism and education.
David Parsin, Advisor
Dave has over 18 years of software industry experience. He has worked across all customer-facing organizations, including senior roles in sales, marketing and international business development at Oracle, Agile Software, Sun Microsystems and Sherpa Corporation. In addition, David was a founding partner of a marketing services provider to the eBay marketplace between 2003-2005, representing nonprofits and franchised car dealers in their online auction programs. Dave holds an undergraduate degree in engineering from Stanford University with an MBA from Harvard University, and was a member of the 1987 & 1988 NCAA Baseball National Champions at Stanford.
Dave has been an active supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for the last 7 years, primarily within its Team In Training program as a fundraiser, advisor, and coach for the Triathlon team. Dave has also helped with the launch of CANTER California, which provides a marketplace and other services for retiring racehorses.
